Renovation of a 10,000 square foot community playground for The Retreat HOA. The existing playground had become outdated and dangerous as the existing mulch was deteriorating. The goal was to provide new safe and colorful poured-in-place rubber surfacing, shade sails and new play equipment to supplement the existing structures. Working with the community CDPC determine what additional play equipment would best suit their needs. Shade studies and 3D models were created for presentation to the board. Drainage was an issue in several areas of the playground requiring CDPC to work with the Civil Engineer to resolve the issue. CDPC coordinated plan permitting with the County of Riverside and also provided Construction Administration services.
