Mesquite Fire Station

Mesquite, Nevada

Mesquite Fire Station No. 1 was designed to house 8 fire fighters and a full-time administration staff. Relocated from its original location, the new fire house will sit adjacent to the newly built public library and existing public pedestrian trail. Amenities for the fire crew include an outdoor barbeque and dining area as well as a separate enclosed fitness area with shade sail. The landscape was designed with minimal planting to reduce water consumption and focuses on decorative crushed rock, boulders and shade trees in key locations.  A monument on the perimeter of the property was created for public use and includes a seating area with build-in gabion/wood benches, accent planting and trees surrounding the monument to provide an aesthetically pleasing space for residence to enjoy.
