Construction is complete on the Kitsap Mall Pocket Park in Silverdale, Washington. CDPC, in collaboration with ELS Architecture, designed this new terraced Pocket Park to be reminiscent of origami with angular lines and fold-like patterns. It’s a visually inviting public space adjacent to the main entrance of the mall where the community can gather and relax after shopping. Multi-level retaining walls provide seating and a bold planting palette was selected to the angular plane. The park has an interesting mixture of textures, patterns and colors, and is beautifully illuminated at night.
