CDPC Awarded Butterfly Pavillion Project
CDPC is pleased to be working with Brissette Architects in Scottsdale, Arizona on Buena Park’s newest attraction, The Butterfly Pavilion, opening in 2017. The attraction anchored by a butterfly and hummingbird sanctuary, seen in architects renderings, will likely occupy the 8.7 acre Beach Blvd property once home to the Movieland Wax Museum. The Buena Pak City Council on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 unanimously approved selling the site for 2.5 million to Butterfly Pavilion to develop what would be the newest attraction in Buena Park’s aggressive revamp of the entertainment corridor that includes and surrounds Knott’s Berry Farm. The venue, being modeled after the Butterfly Wonderland park in Scottsdale, AZ, would feature the sanctuary for butterflies, hummingbirds and other wildlife, an aquarium with jellyfish, a 3D movie theater, a café and a retail shop.
