Master Plan update and various phased development plans for one of the largest churches in Orange County. Approximately 80% of the site has been improved or newly developed from vacant land.The project included expansion of campus facilities from two existing permanent buildings to seven major buildings plus parking structures. Outdoor features include a 3-acre lake/waterfalls with an Island dining facility, active open play, a custom, themed playground, a skate park and other site amenities.
CDPC designed the 4800 square foot, on-structure outdoor play area for recreation and rehabilitation. A multi-sensory environment was created with tactile experiences and rhythmical music elements for sensory stimulation. A multi-purpose sports courts equipped with basketball, volleyball and badminton surrounded by a rubber walking path and synthetic turf. Game tables and various seating areas for parents provide areas for fun and relaxation.
Master planning assistance, entitlement and site-specific design for a 35-acre private high school in San Juan Capistrano. A portion of the school facilities are joint-use for public recreational and include the tennis center, aquatic center, synthetic turf sports fields, track & fields, gymnasium, and the performing arts center. Overall project included incorporation of the 20 acre north campus (also designed by CDPC) via a new bridge connection to integrate with this new south campus.
Site analysis, master planning and concept development for a 100-acre facility with a Heritage Path. The Path serves as the anchor to a meandering walk linking the entire campus through a series of nodes that reflect the mission of the Congregation of St. Joseph. Various gardens and educational features for healing, reflection and learning, a children’s sensory garden and a labyrinth. Open plaza areas will allow for community gathering as well as smaller scale seating areas.
A new sanctuary in the heart of a revitalized Brea downtown. This project is in progress and expected to break ground in the late part of 2003. The design features a water element incorporated into the monumentation, a wedding garden with fountains, rose garden, fruit trees and statuary. Transition to the adjacent on-site schoolyard was also a part of the design solution and provides multi-use areas for both the school and church activities.
Provided Master planning assistance and site specific design for expansion of the 27-acre medical campus. Scope included integration of new wellness center as well as Imaging, MRI and Woman’s Center buildings. Way finding elements were also included.
